Hi,
I'm trying to work out whether it's possible to default the Session and the academic year when creating a StudentPeriodicILR record... I've looked at business rules, Defaults etc, but these seem to relate to 'copying' information from one place to another.
Has anyone done this with the SPI class - in II in particular or in general? I couldn't see any sensible way in II Apps to do this.
thanks
Mark

Hello Mark
We have dome something similar to this so I think it would probably work for what you are trying to do.
We have an II screen with two sets of studentperiodicilrcustom records and we filter these by going to the Data Manager and then entering the custom type value against Filter and Default. We did find we had to display the field on the screen for it to save the value correctly but we just hid it behind something else so it wasn't actually visible: This is what the input area looks like (as you can see the type field is hidden): Hope this helps.
