Web II App Context Arguments

Post by ryanfoster659 » Tue Feb 14, 2017 12:15 pm

Hello,

Does anyone know how the context arguments works within web II?

What I am trying to do is allow teachers see what student they have selected within the enrolment picklist using a report list view as when i add the student table onto the enrolment table my application doesn't return results.

so, i thought it would be a good work around to get the teacher to see what record they have selected easily while updating.

any thoughts?

Ryan

Unfortunately I have not done much with Web II but hopefully someone else will be able to help.
Will move this topic to the new forum.

Thanks for the response Robin.

I am hoping someone can explain it to me as I have used it before but off the top of my head I can't remember how to do it!

This is what a context argument looks like:
ppStudentDM.student1.id = [ppStudentDM0.student1.id]
ppStudentDM.student1.id = [ppStudentDM.student1.id]

and my understanding is that it will be the datamanager name with the field you want will equal the datamanager name, field, value? :think:

any help with this will be very appreciated!
